Booking terms and conditions

These terms apply when you wish to purchase a course or subscription offered by SpeechWise Therapy as a Learn On Demand Course (“LOD Course”) on the Training Hub of our website. These terms are not very long and we recommend that you take a few moments to read them.

Our Training Hub was designed to comply with the legal requirements of the United Kingdom, Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you access our Training Hub and/or buy a LOD Course from us and you're located outside of the UK (including Northern Ireland), please note that other rules and laws may also apply to you. The LOD Courses are the courses that are advertised on our Training Hub and which we provide to you for free or at the advertised price.

BY USING OUR SITE YOU ACCEPT THESE TERMS

By using our Training Hub or buying or participating in a LOD Course or subscription, you confirm that you accept these terms of use and that you agree to comply with them. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our Training Hub or buy or participate in a LOD Course. We recommend that you print a copy of these terms for future reference.

WE MAY MAKE CHANGES TO THESE TERMS AND OUR TRAINING HUB

We may amend these terms and our Training Hub from time to time. Every time you wish to use our Training Hub, please check these terms to ensure you understand the terms that apply to our Training Hub at that time. We will try to give you reasonable notice of any major changes.

TRAINING COURSES

All courses are owned solely by SpeechWise 2 Ltd. Any references or recommendations to published resources or training materials are provided with the express recommendation that users access them as a next step. We have taken every reasonable step to ensure we have been clear when referencing the work of others and all such references are intended to direct the learner to access/purchase that resource directly from the owner/publisher.

Users are not, under any circumstances, permitted to distribute, copy or use any of the information or images contained within a course for any other purposes than for individual study or application to their daily work. They may not distribute, copy or use any of the information in order to provide training to others.

We do not allow the reselling of our courses; you therefore agree not to sell or share any part or whole course or any login details for the LOD Training Hub with anyone except the individual user(s) named in the subscription/account or purchase. There is a monitoring system in place to identify suspicious activity and if any is found to have occurred this will result in immediate suspension of access to the LOD Training Hub, with additional penalty charges applied at the individual course purchase cost of each instance of a course being viewed by anyone other than the named user. The only exception to this is for parent training courses only, where a parent or carer of a child/young person has purchased a LOD course or subscription. In this case the user is permitted to share the login information with up to 3 other family members. Other family members must view the course within the allocated time frame (3 days for 1-off purchases, 1 year for annual subscriptions).

Although we strive to ensure our courses are fully up-to-date and error free, there may be some errors or inaccuracies contained within materials. Any errors that may be present do not affect any terms set out in this agreement.

We strive to ensure that your user experience is clear and seamless. For this reason, our marketing materials are closely aligned to the look and feel of our courses. However, there may be some differences in these. Some images, colours and screenshots that are used for marketing may be adapted or different in colour and style and slight variations in style may be present.

For annual subscriptions

Course access is limited to 12 months, from the date of the subscription being issued, charged upfront in full. There will be no refund for subscriptions cancelled part-way through a year.

The account holder or administrator will receive a subscription reminder via email 7 weeks prior to automatic renewal and another 3 weeks prior to automatic renewal. The subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled prior to the renewal date. There is a 14 day cooling off period to cancel a subscription where you may cancel after purchase or renewal, provided that none of the LOD courses have been accessed between the purchase/renewal date and the date of cancellation, although an admin fee of £25 for individual subscriptions and £50 for school subscriptions will apply for late cancellations. If any courses have been accessed after automatic renewal but before cancellation then a full year’s subscription will be payable.

For whole school subscriptions the school will nominate an administrator who will add and edit learners, manage login details and subscriptions. For schools/organisations who receive a free subscription as part of their regular weekly SALT service into school (under a Separate Service Level Agreement), the free subscription will cease if and when the regular SALT service into school ceases. In order for schools to qualify for a free subscription, they must be receiving a SALT service from SpeechWise of half a day or more per week over the course (or remainder) of an academic year.

For one off purchases

One off purchases of any LOD course(s) will be viewable by the user for 3 days. There is a 14 day cooling off period to cancel the purchase, provided that none of the LOD courses purchased have been accessed between the purchase date and the date of cancellation.

REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS

We try to make the order process as easy and straightforward as we can but we understand that sometimes errors happen. If you encounter an error/glitch on the training, please contact us on hello@speechwisetherapy.co.uk with your name and username, the date of purchase and evidence of the error (e.g. a screenshot/recording of the issue). We will endeavour to solve it, but if we are unable to do so and our investigation shows it has significantly affected your ability to access the course/subscription on a long-term basis, we will offer a full refund.

You have the right to cancel your purchase of a course or subscription within 14 days of purchase. You will be provided with a full refund provided that none of the course(s) have been accessed, either partially or in full as this means you have waived your rights to cancellation. Refunds due to user error that are requested within more than 14 days of purchase cannot be provided.

To cancel, please contact us on hello@speechwisetherapy.co.uk with your name and username, the date of purchase and reason for cancellation within 14 days of purchase. No cancellation requests will be

accepted by phone. You must send your request in writing.

No refund requests will be accepted once this 14 day period has passed.

Please also remember that you cannot receive a refund for a LOD Course/subscription just because you did not like it. If you are eligible for a refund, we will give you a refund using the same method you used to pay for the LOD Course/subscription and you should receive your refund within 14 days of your cancellation.

Fair Use: If we notice an unusual pattern of refund activity that gives us cause for concern or suspicion e.g. we suspect that you are substantially completing LOD Courses, complaining about them and requesting refunds or you have requested an excessive number of refunds, then we might have to deactivate your account. If this happens to you and you think we have made a mistake, please contact us at hello@speechwisetherapy.co.uk and we will be happy to discuss it with you.
